Major Immigration Fee Increases Take Effect: What You Need to Know

A new law, the “One Big Beautiful Bill Act,” signed by President Trump on July 4, 2025, has introduced significant new immigration fees. These fees went into effect immediately and apply to a wide range of immigration applications and petitions.

Some of these fees are already being collected, while others will begin once the federal government updates its payment systems. Importantly, most of these fees cannot be waived or reduced—and they will increase every year due to inflation.

If you are in the process of filing or renewing any immigration application, these changes could directly affect you. We encourage you to consult a licensed immigration attorney or visit www.ailalawyer.com to find one.
