The U.S. Department of State has announced an expansion of its expedited B visa appointment pilot program, giving more visa applicants the chance to secure earlier interview dates.
The pilot program initially launched at Mission Mexico, effective July 21, 2026. As of August 18, 2026, DOS has expanded the program to the following posts:
- Mission Canada
- Embassy Bogotá
- Embassy Guatemala City
- Embassy San José
- Embassy Tegucigalpa
For applicants at these posts, the expedited process may offer a faster path to scheduling a B visa interview, which can be especially helpful for those with time-sensitive travel needs.
